RADIATOR GRILL DETAILS AND HARDWARE.
The MATTE BLACK - V1 radiator protective Grill features vertical diamonds that go in an up-and-down pattern. It has a matte black finish that matches the black panels on your Ryker. It's made from industrial steel. These are hand cut with a 4in angle grinder. They go into an acetone bath. Then they get sanded down and bent to the correct specs. They then get test fitted before they go into the paint booth. The paint is industrial paint, it's applied with an air gun and dried under heat for 72 hours. Then the grill gets inspected before it gets packaged up and put in the box. All mounting hardware is included in the box. You can use the four included zip ties which requires no drilling of any holes in the plastic. Or you can use the included stainless steel bolts nuts and washers and drill two small holes in the front fascia to insert the bolts a through. The choice is totally up to you which method you do your install. Both mounting options are included. Our radiator protective Grill has been tested to withstand a golf ball-sized rock at 60 miles per hour zero damage being done to the radiator. It will not affect engine coolant temperatures.
ABOUT THE GRILL...
The radiator on these bikes is right out front, in the open. It's the most common part damaged on these bikes. It is not covered under your warranty. I purchased my Ryker brand new off the showroom floor. After owning it for only about a week and a half It only had 300 miles on it and it ended up with a hole in the radiator. I was doing 60 mph down the freeway when a rock bounced up and hit the radiator. This left me stranded on the side of the freeway a long ways away from home. This cost me a day of work, a night at a motel, a tow truck fee, and I had to pay a mechanic to weld the radiator just to be able to get the bike back home. I still then had to order a radiator and wait for about 2 months for it to come in the mail. It was not covered under warranty and cost about $200 out of my own pocket. All together it was an expensive fix and it was a nightmare. That's when I created this product. When you think of all of the cost that I had to Shell out it makes this $80 product not seem like much money to spend at all. We have sold over 4,500 of these. Not a single customer has ever had damage done to the radiator after the install. More than 300 of those customers came to us after already having to replace the radiator due to damage being done. Our fuel overflow extension hose kit comes with two zip ties to do the install. This features an industrial fuel rated hose that will not deteriorate over time. The fuel hose will Outlast the lifetime of the bike. It comes with a metal fuel rated barbed fitting that is pre installed into the fuel hose itself. You do not have to remove any plastic panels to do this install. This is about a five-minute install process. The only tool you'll need for this install is something to cut the ends of the zip ties off.
ABOUT THE FUEL OVERFLOW HOSE...
If you ever overflow the gas tank on your ryker you'll notice on the right hand side is where the clear fuel overflow hose is located. When you overflow your tank, fuel goes onto your suspension, you're A-arm, and your fender. Over time this will cause damage and start interior decorating the clear coat and eventually the powder coat. This kit will plug into that clear hose that you see hanging down. Then it will be redirected to flow underneath the bike. This is how most motorcycles come from the factory. For some reason the ryker does not come that way. So this is our solution to fixing the problem. If you take a look at the photos you'll see the damage that has been done to my personal ryker from fuel overflowing. You won't see this damage the first time it happens however overtime of it happening you will regret not having this product installed. The only way to fix the issue now after the damage has been done is to take everything apart and get it re-powder coated and then re-clear-coated.
