ALWAYS FLASH BACK TO STOCK .stk BEFORE ANY SERVICE WORK

With the Dynojet PV3 or PV4 on all vehicles. You must flash the vehicle back to the stock factory tune (xxx.xxx.stk) in order for a dealership or service center to be able to communicate with your specific vehicle.

ON PV3 OR PV4 YOU MUST BE CONNECTED TO THE VEHICLE. NOW GO TO FLASH TUNE AND HIT ENTER -
NOW SELECT THE FILE THAT ENDS WITH .stk AND CLICK ON IT.

NOW THAT YOU HAVE THE FILE SELECTED CLICK AGAIN TO START FLASHING THE STOCK TUNE (.stk) FILE. DO NOT PUSH ANY BUTTONS ON PV3 OR SMARTPHONE WITH PV4. DO NOT PUSH ANY BUTTONS ON THE VEHICLE. ONCE COMPLETE SHUT DOWN VEHICLE FOR TWO MINUTES. YOU SHOULD NOW SEE A * NEXT TO THE STOCK (stk) FILE ON YOUR PV4 OR PV3. THIS MEANS THE VEHICLE IS NOW BACK TO STOCK. NOW REMOVE THE TUNING DEVICE (PV3) (PV4) FROM THE VEHICLE ALONG WITH ALL OF ITS CABLES.
LET'S TALK ABOUT FLASHING BACK TO STOCK AND WHY IT'S SO IMPORTANT.
It doesn't matter what brand the vehicle is. It doesn't matter where the aftermarket tune came from. Whether it was from us, Dynojet, or any other third-party company. Or even if it's a tune that you made on your own. If it is not the stock factory tune file which ends with STK then a dealership, service center, or any other third party maintenance or mechanic or repair shop. Or even you yourself with something like a buds computer system cannot talk to the bike. It must be on the STK file. This means you have to flash the bike back to the stock factory tune. You'll find this in the tuning options on both PV3 and PV4. It is as simple as going back to the flash tune option and selecting the (.stk) file that shows up when the PV3 or PV4 is plugged into the vehicle. If your bike has to go in for any kind of service work. For example if something went wrong electronically. If a dealership or service center had to replace a fuel pump or any type of wire harness or relay OR ON SOME VEHICLES EVEN REPLACING A BATTERY. These types of things usually require the service center to talk to the vehicle and reprogram it with the new parts. This cannot be done if the bike is on an aftermarket tune file. An aftermarket tune file will end with (.djt)

Please understand We have A lot of experience in this department. Do not let a dealership or service center or any other technician tell you anything different. If they say don't worry about it and you don't need to flash it back to stock. Do not go by what they are saying. We cannot stress this enough. Flash it back to the stock factory tune file (stk) Then reove the tuning device and all of its cables. Then hand your vehicle over to them. They will not have any issues and you will not have any issues. This will save you a massive headache. We have seen places say that the ECU is locked up and we have seen places actually lock up the ECU attempting to talk to the vehicle.  This is all at your own risk. So please keep that in mind. There is nothing that we can do if a dealership or service center locks up your ECU because you didn't flash it back to stock. Remember the ECU is a very vital piece of equipment. It is also a very sensitive piece of equipment. It should be treated as such.

It is not good practice to try and plug other devices into the Bike / Vehicle Diagnostic port while it is on an aftermarket tune. By other devices we mean computer systems like buds. These devices or these types of devices should only be plugged into the diagnostics port if the vehicle has already been flashed back to the stock factory tune. Furthermore, please remember ECU flash tuning and tuning devices such as PV4, PV3, PCFC, PC6, PCV these types of devices are all intended for track or off-road use only. Our custom tuning that we offer is for track or off-road use only. Our custom tuning is also built for 91 to 98 octane. You should not be running any other type of fuel unless you have been advised otherwise.

If you are taking your vehicle in for any type of service work whatsoever we always advise removing any type of tuning device from the vehicle after you flash the vehicle back to stock factory settings. For devices like PC6 or PCV or PCFC you can simply remove the device and the vehicle will now be back on its stock factory settings. For devices like PV4 or PV3 or original power vision you must flash back to stock. We cannot help you and we will not attempt to help you if you have taken the vehicle to a dealership or service center and it was not on the stock factory tune file. There is nothing further that we can do to assist you if the dealership has destroyed the ECU. If they are telling you over the phone or in person that for some reason their computer system is down or they're having trouble talking to your vehicle. Please understand that it is most likely because you didn't flash it back to stock. Go back to your vehicle and flash it back to stock and then let them attempt to try to talk to it with their equipment.
This should always be done by a professional. FLash tuning or Modifying your vehicle in any way can always have the risk of damage or voiding a warranty. If you are worried about these things than we advise that you do not modify your vehicle. We,  BLR TUNING , BLRTUNING , BLR TUNING LLC are not responsible for any damage that may occur in any of the process of tuning or adding aftermarket parts.
