Important:

• This kit is intended for the 2025–2026 Kawasaki Z900 and Z900 SE only. Please verify your motorcycle's year and model before ordering.
• You will need to trim a small section of the plastic that goes around the ignition. You just need to trim a small piece so that way that plastic can drop down over the steering stabilizer bracket that mounts to the bike without touching it. Check out the photos. 
• The steering stabilizer bracket that mounts to the upper portion of the z900 should never come in contact with your display screen. 
• Once adjusted properly you should be able to steer all the way left and all the way right without bottoming out the steering stabilizer / damper 
• When turned all the way left and when turned all the way right you should have the same amount of space left over on the shaft of the stabilizer each direction. 
• You should start out on the lowest setting for the adjustable knob. Get a feel for it and then turn it up from there. You should never have to run the steering damper / stabilizer at the stiffest setting. 
• On the bikes that we've tested running the adjustable knob counting up from the lowest setting. We had to adjusted at anywhere between 8 and 10 clicks up. Adjust it so it's comfortable for you. Each person is going to be different. It should not be hard to steer your Z900.
• The bracket that mounts to the handlebars will Mount up to the left hand side. The only way to mount that handlebar bracket to the right hand side would be to move the brake reservoir or raise it.
• We do carry a different steering stabilizer kit for 2017 through 2024 Z900
• Please remember this is a made to order item. These ship out the door in roughly 2 to 3 weeks.

THE LONGER M8 BOLT GOES THROUGH END OF THE STEERING STABILIZER AND THEN THROUGH THE HANDLEBAR CLAMP BRACKET. 

YOU WILL SEE AN OPTION TO ADD A SMALL TUBE OF BLUE THREADLOCKER TO YOUR ORDER. YOU MUST USE BLUE THREADLOCKER TO INSTALL ALL REMAINING BOLTS. 

THE PRE-ASSEMBLED PORTION DOES NOT NEED TO BE TAKEN APART. IT IS ALREADY TIGHTENED DOWN TO TORQUE SPEC WITH BLUE THREAD LOCKER. 

DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN THE BOLTS WHEN ASSEMBLING THE KIT. WITH BLUE THREADLOCKER ON THE BOLTS SNUG IS PERFECT. 

YOU NEED TO INSPECT EVERYTHING TO MAKE SURE NOTHING HAS COME LOOSE. THIS IS PART OF YOUR NORMAL MAINTENANCE ROUTINE. JUST LIKE CHECKING YOUR BRAKES AND YOUR CHAIN.
